GPS Iridium Repeater: THE DXCOMM DX1

DX1 Features:

  • The DX1 can operate using the sole indoor unit (IDU) at distances up to 60 meters from the external antennas and the internal antennas.
  • Option for an Optical Iridium Repeater Kit, featuring an Outdoor  Unit (ODU) connected to the Indoor Unit (IDU) via fibre optical cables,  enabling coverage over vast distances.
  • Uplink and Downlink Gain: Adjustable upto 75db, are available on the LCD display, ensuring a swift setup process.
  • Operates on GPS L1, GLONASS, GNSS-2, GALILEO + Iridium Frequencies.

  • Integrated fuse and reverse polarity protection
  • Surge protection on inputs and outputs
  • Outputs protected against impedance mismatch/antenna disconnection
  • Extremely low-noise input stage

  • 1 x Iridium Repeater.
  • 4 x 10 metre coaxial cables. (Optional Cables up to 30m)
  • 4 x Iridium Antennas.
  • 1 X Power Supply. (Optional Battery Backup)
  • Optional:  Brackets, Ceiling Panels, Extra Long Coax Cables. Made to measure Coax Cables, Leaky Coax Cables

Optional Extras:

 30m Long Coax Cables, Made to measure Coax Cables, Leaky Coax Cables, RF absorbing kits,  Brackets, Ceiling Panels, The indoor unit IDU is powered by a DC  supply, which can also be equipped with an optional battery backup to  ensure continuous operation in case of AC power supply failure to the  repeater.

Iridium Repeater Uses and Benefits

A GPS iridium repeater is a device that relays iridium satellite signals indoors or in areas where the signals are weak or blocked. Iridium is a network of 66 satellites that provide global voice and data communication services. Iridium Repeater Kits such as the DX1  can be seamlessly integrated with various Iridium devices, including satellite phones and SBD (Short Burst Data) devices.


KIT COMPONENTS 

 The Iridium repeater kit consists of two outdoor antennas, an indoor unit (IDU), and two indoor antennas. The outdoor antennas effectively receive and transmit Iridium signals to and from the satellites, while the indoor antennas efficiently distribute these signals to enabled devices inside buildings or vehicles. All components are connected using low loss coaxial cables.
