GPS Thuraya Repeater: THE DXCOMM DX1

DX1 Optical Features:

  • Optical Thuraya Repeater Kit, featuring 2 Indoor Units (IDU) connected  via fibre optical cables,  enabling coverage over vast distances up to 2.5km.
  • Optional Coaxial Version is also available. The DX can operate using the sole indoor unit (IDU) at distances up to 60 metres  from the external antennas and the internal antennas. The coaxial version operates with 4 antennae.
  • Uplink and Downlink Gain: Adjustable upto 75db, are available on the LCD display, ensuring a swift setup process.
  • Operates on GPS L1, GLONASS, GNSS-2, GALILEO +  Thuraya Frequencies.

Thuraya Repeater Uses and Benefits

A GPS Thuraya repeater is a device that relays Thuraya satellite signals indoors or in areas where the signals are weak or blocked. Thuraya network of  satellites that provide voice and data communication services. Thuraya  Repeater Kits such as the DX1  can be seamlessly integrated with various Thuraya devices, including satellite phones and SBD (Short Burst Data) devices.


KIT COMPONENTS 

 The Thuraya / Inmarsat repeater kit consists of an outdoor antenna, 2 indoor units (IDU), and an indoor antenna. The outdoor antenna effectively receive and transmit Thuraya signals to and from the satellites, while the indoor antenna efficiently distribute these signals to enabled devices inside buildings or vehicles. All components are connected using low loss coaxial cables. One IDU is situated near the external antenna and the other IDU is situaeted near the indoor antenna. The two IDU's are connected with optical cable. The distance between the two IDU's can be as much as 2.5km.
